摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To monitor and control the motion of a fiber by passing a beat of an adhesive through light and detecting the light to compare a signal generating a signal corresponding to the presence of light with a reference signal. CONSTITUTION: A continuous stream of an adhesive is propelled by the air jet 24 discharged from a nozzle 16 and the air stream generates a vortex in fibers 22 to impart a conical spiral shape having an apex in the vicinity of the nozzle 16. The closed loop feedback control capable of responding to the monitored characteristics of the sensed vortex pattern is performed by a transmitter 30 and a receiver 32 and the monitored characteristics and the stored desired characteristics of the sensed pattern are compared by a computer 40 and the characteristics are processed according to program response function. The control signal from a system controller 46 controls air pressure, the pressure of the adhesive, a dispenser 12, the speed of a conveyor 18, other parameter or a control parameter.</p>
