A plate fin heat exchanger (11) is made such that the distance between the trailing edge (33) of its plate fins and the nearest row of tube openings is substantially greater than the distance between the leading edge (32) and its tube openings, thereby reducing the occurrence of condensate carry-over into the airflow stream.
