PURPOSE:To enable a diagnostic device to execute diagnostic commands not only to one device to be diagnosed but to the plural devices simultaneously except a part masked by mask data by adding the address information of a diagnostic destination and the mask data of the address information on a diag nostic interface bus in an electronic computer for performing diagnostic control using the diagnostic interface bus by which the diagnostic device and the plural devices to be diagnosed are connected. CONSTITUTION:This method is provided with registers 1, 2, 3 and 4 for storing the address information of the diagnostic device on a transmission side on the diagnostic interface bus, the mask data corresponding to the address information, diagnostic command data and read/write/control data, a comparator circuit 15 for comparing the address information with the address information of the devices to be diagnosed on a reception side, the counter 9 of a diagnostic interface bus clock for deciding the operational phase of diagnostic operation and a control circuit 18 for executing the commands. |
