PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive body drum with a built-in improved flange which is satisfactory in earthing of the photosensitive body drum and is superior in mechanical strength, and does not generate wear against a rotary shaft, damage noise at the operation time and image defect, by specifying a material quality of the flange member. CONSTITUTION:An inorganic or organic photoconductive layer 3 is laminated on a cylindrical electrically conductive base body 2 made of Al and electrically conductive flanges 4, 5 which consist of an electrically conductive resin being dispersedly incorporated with preferably 5-20wt.% furnace carbon black and preferably 3-9wt.% carbon filler in a heat resistant thermoplastic resin, are formed by fitting preferably an epoxy adhesive on cylindrical open ports at both side ends of the electrically conductive body 2. With this constitution, the workability of the flanges 4, 5 and the working accuracy are excellent and they are a lower cost and the volume resistance of the flanges 4, 5 is low and the photosentive body drum 1 is capable of sufficient earthing and is superior in the mechanical wear resistance, thus a stable image is always obtained at the time of image formation. |
