摘要 PURPOSE:To enable electromagnetic induction heating and the efficient fixing of an optical fiber juncture by forming a conductive layer on the other surface of at least one substrate of two sheets of substrates having thermoplastic resin layers on the one-side surfaces and/or between the substrate and the thermoplastic resin layer. CONSTITUTION:This reinforcing device is constituted of the substrate 10 consisting of low-expansion crystallized glass formed with the thermoplastic resin layer 10a on the inner surface and a conductive layer 10b on the outer surface and the substrate 11 consisting of low-expansion crystallized glass formed with the thermoplastic resin layer 11a on the inner surface. Two sheets of the substrates 10, 11 of the reinforcing device consist of the low-expansion crystallized glass and the conductive layer 10b is formed on at least one of the substrate 10 and, therefore, the respective thermoplastic resin layers soften and melt when the thermoplastic resin layers 10a, 11a of the respective substrates 10, 11 are brought into contact with each other and are subjected to electromagnetic induction heating by irradiation with electromagnetic waves. The thermoplastic resin layers are eventually adhered to each other when a pressure is applied thereon.
