PURPOSE:To manufactue a permanent magnet material excellent in maximum energy integration and heat stability by the procedure in which a magnet alloy ingot composed mainly of a rare earth element and Co is subjected to solutionizing and aging treatments, ground, mixed with a binder, orientated in a magnetic field, and then molded by compression molding method. CONSTITUTION:Raw materials compounded in a desired composition are melted in an inert gas such as Ar or under vacuum to obtain a magnet alloy ingot having a composition of 20-28wt% one or more of rare earth elements, 5-15wt% Cu, 0.2-5wt% Zr, 5-15wt% Fe, and 22-74.8wt% Co. Then, the ingot is kept at 1,000-1,250 deg.C for 1-50hr., subjected to a aging treatment in various profile states, cooled, ground, mixed with a binder such as epoxy resin, orientated in a magnetic field, molded by compression molding method, and then solidified sufficiently. |
