PURPOSE:To provide the liquid crystal display device which can display some message, display in the area other than a main pixel part where an image is displayed in a liquid crystal display device which is used for, for example, a viewfinder, etc. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal display device 1 equipped with a couple of substrates having transparent electrodes on their internal surfaces and a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between those substrates is equipped with a 1st pixel part 46 consisting of plural pixels for an image display and a 2nd pixel part 48 consisting of plural pixels having a different pitch from the 1st pixel part 46. Vertical signal lines 4 of the 1st pixel parts 46 and vertical signal lines 4 of the 2nd pixel part 48 are made common and the pitch of horizontal gate lines of the 2nd pixel part 48 is made smaller than that of the 1st pixel part 46. |
