The novel compound octasodium tetrakis (gluconato) bis-(salicylato) Á-diacetatodialuminate of the formula is prepared by the required stoichiometric amounts of acid, neutral or basic salts of sodium and aluminium and gluconic and acetylsalicyclic acids. Pharmaceutical compositions having analgesic activity contain the above novel compound.
