PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of improving productivity in an image formation by eliminating the dead waiting time of a developing unit at a developing position, out of plural developing units integrally moved with respect to an image carrier, and further, making an endurance limit long, without unnecessarily generating a noise and a vibration. CONSTITUTION:A sheet material gap hp on a transfer drum, a gap time tp, a proper moving time tm, and proper moving speed Vd, are successively, obtained in an image forming mode for a size, the number of colors, the number of carried sheets, etc., on a sheet material carried on the transfer drum, so that plural developing units integrally moved by rotation, are controlled so as to take a moving action at the speed (Vd). Thus, the elimination of the dead waiting time of the developing unit at the developing position, by the movement control, etc., can be attained, to achieve the aim. |
