PURPOSE:To provide a membership function setting device which can set a membership function for obtaining the control output of uniform accuracy even to real data of input/output variables in the part of any frequency distribution. CONSTITUTION:Statistics such as an average value save a minimum value smin, a maximum value smax, a standard deviation sigma, etc., can be determined from plural pieces of real data (s) of the output variable forming the sequent part of a fuzzy rule expressing the control rule of a process. Then, real data (s) of the output variable SUBa is classified into plural fuzzy labels SS to LL so that the larger the frequency distribution is concerning the output variable, in this case the closer to the average value save, the finer the classification range of real data (s) is in the direction of real data. The membership function in the shape of a triangle are set to real data (s) of the classified output variable SUBa respectively to the fuzzy labels SS to LL. Then, the position of the vertex of each membership function is set at the position of 0.3/one/three times of standard deviation in positive/negative directions from the average value save. |
