PURPOSE:To improve a retrieving efficiency by retrieving a certain phrase together with the homonym and reading of the designated phrase, at the time of retrieving the phrase from a prepared text. CONSTITUTION:A retrieval mode is set by a retrieval command inputting part 1-2, and a character string necessary for the retrieval is designated, the content of a document memory 4 is compared by a retrieving part 3-3, and the pertinent character string is retrieved. At that time. the designated character string is temporarily converted into Japanese syllabary by using a Chinese character/Japanese syllabary conversion dictionary 7, and the Japanese syllabary data are converted into the Chinese character by a Japanese syllabary/Chinese character converting part 3-2 by using a Japanese syllabary/Chinese character conversion dictionary 5. Then, entire synonyms are retrieved, and stored through the retrieving part 3-3 in a synonym collecting part 6. Then, when the synonym is retrieved one by one, a user designates an editing command 1-3, for example, the mode of a delete, insertion, and correction or the like, and inputs a character or the like for a desired edition from a character inputting part 1-1. When the character is data for the correction, the data are converted into the Chinese character coexisting character string by the Japanese syllabary/Chinese character converting part 3-2, and the content of the document memory 4 is corrected. |
