PURPOSE:To provide a document preparing device and a display control method whose operability is improved, by which the centering of a desired character string can be easily and speedily attained in an arbitrary range. CONSTITUTION:A central control processing part 10, which sets a system in a centring mode in response to the pressing of a (centering) key 44c, outputs character string information positioned in the designated arbitrary range to a display device 50 while the centering is operated in the range by referring to a prescribed centering logic stored in a centering logic area 20d based on start point position information stored in a centering range start point position information storage area 30d and end point position information stored in a centering range end point position information storage part 30e. |
