PURPOSE:To precisely cool a heating device, to reduce the consumption of electric power and the occurrence of noise accompanied with the unnecessary actuation of a ventilation fan and to prolong the life of the ventilation fan. CONSTITUTION:A program for actuating a mode (sleep mode) that a heating roller is not energized during a time other than an image forming time and a mode (standby mode) that the temperature of the heating roller is held to be 150 deg.C which is lower than the fixing feasible temperature of 185 deg.C during the time other than two minutes from the image forming time and an image forming finish time is stored in a ROM 35. A control means is constituted of a CPU 34 and the ROM 35. By the control means, the ventilation fan is rotated by actuating a fan motor 31 in the case that the temperature detected by a temperature sensor 33 is >=153 deg.C in the standby mode. In the sleep mode, the rotation of the ventilation fan is stopped by stopping the motor 31 in the case that the detected temperature is <=60 deg.C. |
