PURPOSE:To simplify structure for protecting a photosensitive body by manually attaching a protective cover at an optional position between a position where the photosensitive body is covered with the cover and a position where the cover is retreated from the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive unit 15 at least including the photo-sensitive body 20 and a developing device 16 are positioned above a paper feeding path 6 and attachably/detachably provided in a housing 1. The protective cover 31 with which the outer periphery of the exposed part of the photosensitive body 20 is covered is provided, and a 1st supporting part 35 attachably/ detachably supporting the cover 31 at the position where the cover 31 is retreated from the position where the outer periphery of the exposed part of the photosensitive body 20 is covered with the cover 31, and a 2nd supporting part 36 attachably/detachably holding the cover 31 at the position where the photosensitive body 20 is covered with the cover 31 are provided in the photosensitive unit 15. Therefore, in the case of forming an image, the cover 31 is retreated from the photosensitive body 20 and held, and when the unit 15 is taken out from the housing 1, the photosensitive body 20 is protected by the cover 31. |
