PURPOSE:To enhance the density and storage stability of an image, in a thermal transfer image receiving material wherein an image receiving layer containing a thermoplastic resin receiving a dye is provided on a support, by adding a compd. represented by a specific general formula to at least one layer among the constitutional layers of the image receiving layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer image receiving material is constituted by providing an image receiving layer containing a thermoplastic resin capable of receiving a dye on the upper surface of a support. In this case, a compd. represented by general formula is added to at least one layer among the constitutional layers of the image receiving material. In the general formula, R<1> and R<2> are a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, X<1> is -O- or -S-, X<2> is an ether bond or an ester bond, n is an integer of 1-3, B is an alkylene group, a and b are 0 or 1, m is at least 1, A is a divalent connection group and R<3>-R<12> are respectively a hydrogen atom or an org. residue. By this constitution, high image density and image storage stability are ensured without exerting adverse effect on initial image density (reflection density). |
