PURPOSE:To obtain a neutral liq. detergent compsn. of a highly conc. type having a surfactant concn. higher than 60wt.% and maintaining a comparatively high viscosity even when diluted to a practical concn. CONSTITUTION:A detergent compsn. comprises 60-90wt.% surfactant component composed of 5-50wt.% sodium or potassium linear-alkylbenzenesulfonate, 10-80wt.% polyoxyethylenealkylphenol and 0-30wt.% fatty acid alkanolamide; 0-10wt.% viscosity depressant component comprising ethanol, propylene glycol or polyethylene glycol; 0.3-4wt.% thickener component comprising sodium chloride, sodium sulfate or an amphoteric betaine surfactant; and the balance water, provided that the amts. of the depressant and the thickener are so adjusted that the viscosity of the compsn. is 3,000cP at 25 deg.C while the viscosity of an aq. soln. of the compsn. diluted to a surfactant component concn. of 13wt.% is 150 to 600cP at 25 deg.C. |
