PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination with ink at the time of the replacement of an ink tank. CONSTITUTION:The projection 22b to be engaged preventing the detachment of an ink tank T and a head cartridge H when both of them are in a mounting state and an engaging hole 13a are provided between the ink tank T and the head cartridge H. A lock pin 4 movable between a position preventing the detachment of the head cartridge H mounted on the head caridge C and a position permitting the detachment thereof and a pin insertion quantity control lever 7 controlling the insertion quantity of the lock pin 7 into the engaging hole 13a are provided to the head carriage C. In such a state that an ink emitting nozzle is hermetically closed by a cap by moving the head caridge C having the head cartridge H mounted thereon to a home position, the projection 22b to be engaged in the engaging hole 13a is pushed out by the lock pin 4 to perform the replacement of the ink tank T. |
