PURPOSE:To bring about a reaction of even a single fine grain by a microtechnique by capturing a fine grain by laser beam irradiation, bringing the fine grain into contact with an electrode to cause electrochemical reaction and electrochemically or further spectroscopically measuring the reaction process. CONSTITUTION:A laser-beam fine grain operating device 1, an electrochemical reaction measuring device 2 and a spectrochemical measuring device 3 are provided. The fine grain is captured by a laser beam, the grain is brought into contact with an electrode to bring about a reaction, and the reaction process is electrochemically or further spectroscopically measured. For example, a single oil droplet is captured by the device 1, the droplet is brought into contact with a working electrode 211, the inter-electrode potential is continuously linear-swept by a potentiostat 22, and the relation between the electric potential and current density is measured. Meanwhile, the chemical reaction is simultaneously observed by the potentiostatic electric field and spectroscopic technique, and the quantity and rate of electrolysis are roughly estimated. |
