PURPOSE:To obtain a traveling vehicle which can run over a step difference such as stairs smoothly by installing plural radial supporting arms where ground contacting wheel bodies are mounted at free ends at an axle, and providing a one-way driving mechanism which allows the ground contacting wheel bodies to rotate automatically only in a one-way direction at the respective supporting arms. CONSTITUTION:A traveling device 4 is disposed at the front part side of a vehicle body frame 1 where a maneuvering handle 3 for walking operation is extensively- mounted on the rear edge part and which is provided with a loading platform 2 for loading cargo. The traveling device 4 is provided with an axle 6 which is rotated by an electric motor 5 with a reduction gear, and four supporting arms 7 are provided at both the right and left end parts of the axle 6 in a radial-shape. Tire wheels 8 are journaled to the free end parts of the respective supporting arms 7 so as to rotate automatically, and a one-way braking mechanism A is installed at a position in proximity to the tire wheel 8. The one-way braking mechanism A is of a nearly triangle- shape, and is constituted by journaling a braking member 11 which is provided with a working part 11b which can come into contact with the wheel 8 selectively by action of a toggle spring 14 at both the ends of the bottom edge. |
