PURPOSE:To discharge waste liquid such as photographic processing waste liquid in the public water area and also to efficiently and simply treat it with the saved energy. CONSTITUTION:The waste liquid is evaporated in an evacuated evaporator 14 and air is mixed to the evaporated gas. The air contains oxygen required to decompose the harmful substances in the evaporated gas into harmless substances by oxidation, and also the amount thereof is specified so that the condensation temperature of moisture in the mixture gas of the evaporated gas and the air is specified at the boiling point an above of the waste liquid under reduced pressure. The mixture gas is heated by a heating device 16, thereafter is brought into contact with the catalyst in a catalyst reaction device 17 to decompose an organic material in the evaporated gas, and then the heated gas after the decomposition is indirectly heat-exchanged for the waste liquid in the evacuated evaporator to satisfactorily condense the waste liquid. |
