<p>PURPOSE:To provide a device having a sheet stacking base capable of satisfactorily stacking sheets by arranging a plurality of ribs on the sheet stacking base so as to have undulations in the direction orthogonal to the direction of advancing the sheets. CONSTITUTION:In a sheet stacking device provided with a sheet stacking base 42 for stacking sheets having a determined length, a plurality of ribs 60 are arranged on the sheet stacking base 4 so that the sheet stacking base surface has undulations in the direction orthogonal to the direction of advancing the sheets. A recording paper discharge tray 42 as the sheet stacking base, for example, has ribs 60 over the whole surface of the tray 42 in parallel to the recording paper carrying direction as the direction of advancing the sheets. Further, of these ribs, a rib 61 extremely higher than other ribs is provided in the center. Of the ribs from the central rib 61 to both lateral sides, each lateral rib 62 is slightly higher than the other ribs, and the other ribs 63, 64 are integrally molded in the same height. In this case, the virtual surface formed by connecting the upper surfaces of the ribs 60 forms the sheet stacking base surface.</p> |
