PURPOSE:To release in a good manner and use a mold main body semi- permanently by forming a solvent soluble fluororesin film on the cavity surface of the mold main body for molding a golf ball, feeding a golf ball molding material and compression molding or injection molding. CONSTITUTION:A golf ball molding material is fed into a cavity of a mold with a solvent soluble fluororesin film 2 formed on cavity surface of a mold main body 1 for molding a golf ball and compression molding or injection molding is carried out. As a result, the mold is provided with good release properties, and the release properties of the golf ball from the mold is good when a cover or a core ball of the golf ball is compression molded or injection molded, and the golf ball can be manufactured efficiently. Also, in the case the fluororesin film 2 is damaged by the repeated moldings, the fluororesin film 2 can be removed chemically by a solvent without damaging a cavity face, and the fluororesin film 2 can be molded after the removal. |
