PURPOSE:To obtain a composition used for increasing INF production and containing lipid(s) selected from a group consisting of phospholipid, sphingolipid, glycerolipid, partially decomposed products thereof and their derivatives. CONSTITUTION:This composition contains, as an effective component, at least one kind of lipid selected from a group consisting of phospholipid (e.g. lysophosphatidyl choline), sphingolipid (e.g. sphingomyelin), glycerolipid (e.g. acyl glycerol) or partially decomposed product of them (e.g. sphingosine) and their derivatives, especially lipids derived from fermented milk kefir. These lipids are eatable component increasing interferon(IFN) production and relate to maintain homeostasis of living bodies in many sides.
