PURPOSE:To enhance the improving effects on catalytic activity and heat resistance caused by a metal as a promotor by carrying a required amt. of the metal for the promotor on a carrier without bringing decrease in the carried amt. of a metal as a main catalyst in carrying the metal as the main catalyst and the metal as the promotor bath of which are used for purification of NOx on the carrier. CONSTITUTION:A slurry is formed by mixing a catalyzer wherein a metal as a main catalyst and a metal as a promotor are carried on a metal-contg. silicate, a binder, a salt of the metal as the promotor and water, and a catalyst layer is formed by wash-coating the carrier with the slurry on the carrier. Thereby, a catalyst wherein the metal as the promotor is dispersed and carried on a binder part of the catalyst layer, is obtd. |
