INK JET PRINTER AND METHOD FOR FORMING HEAD SHADING CORRECTION TABLE

PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet printer generating no density irregularity even when input data is changed and a head shading correction table forming method. CONSTITUTION:With respect to several density patterns 1'-5' different in density level obtained by driving a printing head having a plurality of nozzles, twofold weighting is applied to the density pattern 2' and three fold weighting is applied to the density pattern 3' to calculate a head shading (density, tint) correction table. Input data is corrected on the basis of the correction table and the printing head is driven on the basis of the corrected data and a print generating no density irregularity even when the input data is changed is obtained.
