PURPOSE:To previously give a user items of information on quality maintenance kit necessary for exchanging the quality maintenance kit before a trouble in printing occurs actually. CONSTITUTION:A clock 7 constantly operates with an independent auxiliary power source 6 even when the main power source 5 is off. A page counter 9 counts the number of sheets every time that a printing paper passes from a paper supply port to a paper discharge port, and a CPU 15 calculates average number of printed sheets at every fixed period to be measured by the clock 7. After an exchange of a quality maintenance kit is recognized, a next exchanging time of the quality maintenance kit is calculated based on the calculated average number of printed sheets. Based on the calculated exchanging time of the next quality maintenance kit, a delay period is calculated. Based on the calculated delay period, items of information on the quality maintenance kit are displayed on a display section of an operation panel 4. |
