PURPOSE:To improve catalytic activity and single flow yield of the aimed product by a method wherein, after a dried product obtd. from an aq. slurry of a catalytic ingredient is calcined, water and/or an alcohol are added therein and the mixture is molded and frozen and then, calcined again when a catalyst contg. at least Mo, Bi and iron is prepd. CONSTITUTION:In a method for preparing a catalyst contg. at least Mo, Bi and iron used in the case wherein vapor phase catalytic oxidation of propylene, isobutylene or tertiary butanol is performed by using molecular oxygen at a temp. of 200-450 deg.C to prepare respectively corresponding unsatd. aldehyde and unsatd. carboxylic acid, a mixed soln. or an aq. slurry contg. catalytic ingredients is dried, and then calcined, and 5-60wt.% water and/or alcohol are added and mixed to the obtd. calcined product and after mixture is molded, the molded product is frozen, then dried and heat-treated or only heat-treated. The catalyst thus obtd. exhibits especially high activity and the yield is improved. |
