<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of material, form a masking layer easily, and improve degree of freedom of design by utilizing a vinyl chloride sheet having a magnetic recording layer arranged on its whole face as a layer of a substrate, in a magnetic card having embossed characters and figures. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic card 10 is formed by heating and pressing a large number of substrates 11-14 consisting of vinyl chloride sheets. At this time, on the top face of the substrate 13 at the highest position, a magnetic recording layer 21 and a masking layer 22 are layered in sequence over the whole face. On the top face of the masking layer 22, characters and designs 31 and a protective layer 23 for protecting the characters and designs are printed in sequence. Further, characters and designs 32 are printed also on the substrate 12 at the lower part. These are protected by the substrate 14 consisting of a transparent sheet at the lowest part. The magnetic recording layer 21 protects embossed characters and figures 33 and 34. Thus, the vinyl chloride sheet having the magnetic recording layer 21 arranged on its whole face is utilized as a layer of the substrate.</p> |
