<p>PURPOSE:To provide an automatic control method having the capability of pertinent control against the large fluctuation of a calorific value and a flowrate at the side of a load, regarding a marine hot water boiler using high temperature cooing water after cooling a main engine. CONSTITUTION:This control method is for controlling a marine hot water boiler 3 provided at the intermediate section of a cooling water circulation line 2 for cooling a main engine 1, and uses a temperature sensor 11 and a safety thermostat 16 respectively fitted to the inlet and outlet of the boiler 3 in the cooling water circulation line 2. In this case, constitution is so made that the temperature of cooling water is detected with the sensor 11 and thermostat 16 during the operation of the main engine 1 and a combustion burner 8 fitted to the boiler 3 is controlled so as to maintain the temperature at a certain level. In addition, the combustion burner 8 is automatically controlled for maintaining the temperature at a certain level with the thermostat 16, when the main engine 1 is at rest.</p> |
