Cables are connected using the apparatus which has a frontal wall (6) on a housing (33). A peripheral lateral wall (52) extends towards a part (34) of the housing and a positioning shaft extends perpendicularly to the frontal wall and penetrates the orifice (44). The frontal wall has an orifice (36) for ground pin reception and two orifices allow the passage of pins from the plug. The two orifices have a fissure (5). The reception orifice to ground has a cylindrical lateral wall (54) extending axially to the front wall up to the stop (34) and an enlarged part (54a) nearby defining a shoulder (36a). The lateral cylindrical walls form a shoulder (4a) but do not extend to the bottom (34). The ground pin (31) has a back cylindrical part (32) which penetrates the body (8) of the holder. At an intermediate position on its length the pin has a collar (37) with a back part (32) and a catch (38) with a shouldering (38a) towards the collar and a troconic section (38b) decreasing towards the direction of the rear part.
