A multilayer neural network has a memory (10) that stores the weighting values of a result and transmits the stored value (DO- 08). An address generator (20) provides access to memory locations and the network (50) is accessed by a row address decoder (40) and column address decoder (30). Outputs from the network are provided (60). Each cell of the network has a NOR gate (70), a "D" latch type buffer memory (80), NAND gates (90), AND gates (100), SPMOS (100) and SNMUS (120) gates. Weighting values can be entered in a programming operation. USE/ADVANTAGE - Allow multiple function requirements to be met.
