The code converter is used to convert audio signals into digital duobinary data with 3 logic conditions provided serially by the coder. The coder uses an inverter for the binary input signal (A(k)) coupled to an Exclusive-OR gate (2) combining the inverted input signal with the delayed output signal of the gate provided by a delay circuit (3) coupled to a second Exclusive-OR gate (4) for combining the delayed output signal with the undelayed output signal of the first gate. The output of the second gate is inverted and used for a driver (10) and fed directly to 2 further logic gates providing control signals for second and third drivers (9, 11). USE - For transmission of satellite television D-MAC/packet signals, cable television distribution etc.
