The shopping trolley has a tubular frame and a hinged cover (3.1) normally sloping downwards towards the front. The front struts (2.1) can be extended telescopically to raise the front edge of the seat into a horizontal setting. The telescopic section lock into the extended position via ratchets. The seat is supported by the side frames (2.11) forming the upper sides of the trolley structure and by hinged sections.
