Multilayer elastic printing blanket - has rubber surface roughened by sand-blasting

The blanket is esp. for an offset press, and has reinforcing supporting layers, an elastic intermediate one, and a top plate (12) of rubber or similar material. The surface (12) of this plate is roughened by sand-blasting. As an alternative to sand, particles of glass, metal or plastics can be used, of a size between 0.001 and 1 mm., and the force with which they strike the surface can be adjustable, as can the impact angle. USE/ADVANTAGE - Multilayer elastic printing blanket for offset press is simple to produce and gives high print quality.
