The valve according to the invention comprises a crude cast body (1), the transverse bore (5) of which receives the actuating shaft (4) of the butterfly (3) with interposition of a ring (7) forming a bearing. The internal surface (8) of the ring is matched to the dimension of the actuating shaft (4). The outer surface (9) of the ring (7) comprises longitudinal or helical flutes which, by crushing, allow the ring (7) to be fitted into transverse bores (5) in the body (1), the dimensions of which lie within the normal tolerances of cast components. <IMAGE>
