A color filter particularly suitable to devices (1) for color liquid crystal display. Colored picture elements (8, 9, 10) made of transparent resins in which pigments are dispersed are formed on a transparent substrate (6). The filter has, on the colored picture elements, a protective film (11) a coat of cured photopolymerizing resin composite material which includes at least photopolymerizing acrylate oligomers and multifunctional photopolymerizing acrylate monomers. The filter is excellent in heat-proof, light-proof and in the quality of displaying.
