The invention provides a transport device using one handler only while preventing damage to the transported plates comprising a tubular chassis (10) with rectangular basic frames (14) which may be telescopic in two mutually perpendicular horizontal directions, the corners of which are fitted with vertical posts (22) each pair of which bears possibly telescopic cross-members (26) parallel to transverse shanks (16) on which sit two vertical bars (12) to clamp a horizontal stack of vertically upright frames (36).
