PURPOSE:To reduce the area of the bonding section of the bonding repair tool to be used for an electric connection from an element body to an exterior connection reed by forming the exterior shape of the tip of a repair tool to an almost vertical cylindrical shape. CONSTITUTION:The tip section 16 of a bonding repair tool (capillarity chip) has a vertical and cylindrical form. The length g of the cylinder section is desired to be the smallest possible area to meet necessity in order to prevent the decrease in the mechanical strength at the capillarity tip. As the tip section 16 has a vertical and cylindrical shape (or a tapered cylinder-shape below 10 deg.), a fine gold wire is not brought down due to the capillarity chip coming into contact with the adjoining fine gold wire, for which the bonding gas has been finished, at the time when the bonding is performed with the fine gold wire, thereby reducing the bonding area of the element with numerous exterior connection reeds. |
