The copolymerized polyester drawn yarn having above 0.7 intrinsic viscosity, above 5.0 g/d strength, above 35 % dry-heat shrinkage rate, above 10 % residual shrinkage rate and above 1.0 g/ d heat-shrinkage stress is made by: adding copolymers of 0-10 mol% of isophthalic acid or dimethylisophthalate (B) against whole acid compn. and 5-15 mol% of 2,2-bis(4(2-hydroxyethyoxy)phenol) propane (A) against whole diol compn. to the main compn. of terephthalic acid, while satisfying the eq. 5 mol% <= (A) + (B) <= 20 mol%, 0.5 <= (A)/(A)+(B) <= 1; melt-spinning and drawing. The dry- heat shrinkage rate at is that at dry-heat of 170 deg.C for 2 min. after dry-heat treating at 120 deg.C under tension for 2 min.
