The fiber, having strength more than 10.5 g/d, shrinkage rate in dry- heat state less than 3 % (150 deg.C x 30 min.) is manufactured by: adding 6-18 wt.% of the heat-spinnable liquid crystal polymer, of formula below, to polyamide polymer, e.g. nylon 6 or nylon 66; mixing at more than 295 deg.C to obtain the blended chip; melt-spinning the chip at 260-294 deg.C. The fiber made by the method has excellent mechanical properties by introducing small amount of the heat-spinnable liquid crystal polymer, having excellent heat-stability and mechanical properties, thus obtaining the fiber, having matrix-fibril form, usable for tire-cord materials.
