<p>In order to shorten the periods of biodegradation in single-tank clarification plants, the liquid which is located in the tank and is to be aerated is channelled, together with the solids located therein, through a comminution unit (8) directly upstream of the entrance into the conveying channels of a centrifugal surface aerator (1). The first comminution elements (9) of said unit are connected fixedly to the rotary body (2), and the other, second comminution elements (10), interacting in a comminuting manner with the first comminution elements (9), of said unit are arranged such that they are secured with respect to rotation about the axis (12) of the centrifugal surface aerator. <IMAGE></p> |
