PURPOSE:To provide an inorganic insulation coated conductor of excellent heat resistance, the insulating characteristic of which is not degraded, by coating an Al material oxide coating, an insulating metal oxide layer, and a thermal decomposition insulating layer of polysilazane in order on the outer surface of a conductor having an Al material on the outer surface. CONSTITUTION:An oxide coating of Al or of Al alloy is formed on the outer surface of a conductor 1 having at least Al or Al alloy on the outer surface (for example, the core part is copper), by anodic oxidation and so on. A solution including a precursor of metal oxide (for example, tryptoxy aluminum) is adhered to an insulating oxide coating 2 by a sol-gel method, which is heat-treated, and an insulating metal oxide layer 3 is formed. A polysilazane solution is applied to the metal oxide layer 3 and thermal decomposition is carried out, and an insulating layer 4 consisting of ceramic of silicon nitride, silicon oxide, or of silicon oxi-nitride is formed. An inorganic insulation coated conductor of large dielectric breakdown voltage and of excellent flexibility, and the surface of which is smooth, can thus be provided. |
