PURPOSE:To electrostatic charging current for a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:Respective corona dischargers 2, 4-7 and 9 are constituted so that the output can be varied by changing a counted value by a DC high voltage timer 31 for controlling the modulation of pulse width. A detection circuit 29 for detecting the electrostatic charging current Id of the photosensitive body which flows in the photosensitive body 1 by corona-discharging is connected to the conductive base of the photosensitive body 1. In the mode for setting the electrostatic charging current for the photosensitive body, the respective corona dischargers 2, 4-7 and 9 are singly actuated, and the electrostatic charging current of the photosensitive body Id which flows in the photosensitive body 1 by corona-discharging is detected by the circuit 29. Whether or not the detected value is out of the range of a target value is decided, and when it is out of the range, the counted value is increased or decreased by a specified correction value and renewed. The detection and the renewal of the counted value are not performed twice or more in one mode. |
