PURPOSE:To enable a power generating system to highly efficiently generate electric power by uniting a fused carbonate fuel cell and a sodium-sulfur battery in one body. CONSTITUTION:A sodium-sulfur battery 2 is actuated by supplying the waste heat of a fused carbonate fuel cell 1 to the battery 2 and the generated output from the cell 1 is supplied to a load 3 and, at the same time, stored in the battery 2. The battery 2 is made to discharge the stored power in accordance with the power consumption of the load 3. Therefore, highly efficient power generation can be performed, because the generated output of the cell 1 can be leveled and the energy of the battery 2 at the temperature rising time can be made unnecessary. |
