The transverse sides are doubled, one of the external flaps (10) being obtained by cutting and folding the extension of the tray bottom (1). The second thickness of the side is made from flaps (4,5) extending the tray longitudinal sides (3,4). The external (10) and transverse (4,5) flaps are separated from each other by a cut-out of length equal to the height of the external transverse flap (10) plus the thickness of the wall of each interior transverse flap (4,5). One of the interior flaps (5) has, off centre, a stacking stud (8) which fits in an off centre cut-out (17) in the tray bottom (1). USE/ADVANTAGE - Transportation of cheeses in stacked trays which provide sufficient resistance during lengthy transportation.
