PURPOSE:To ensure printing of letters and the like on the surface of a cable while carrying out printing process effectively without fine adjustment of the pressure force of a printing roller, and to prevent change in the electric characteristic of the cable. CONSTITUTION:A printing roller 12 having trapezoid cross section, is engaged with a surface 10a of a recessed streak part 20 of a cable 10, and is rotated, and printing process is carried out thereby on the surface 10a of the cable 10. A rotational roller 28 is revolted by a rotating gear 30 rotated by a rotating motor 34 through a revolving shaft 32 mounted in the vicinity of the outer end of the gear, and the printing roller 12 connected to the rotational roller 28 through a supporting frame 24, is revolved around the cable as a center. The revolving cycle of the printing roller 12 is determined so that the printing roller 12 is always engaged with the surface 10a of the recessed streak part 20, and so that the cycle is synchronized with the scanning time of a fixed pitch of a protruded streak 18. |
