PURPOSE:To dial a correct telephone number to a telephone line with a voice dialer even when a telephone set at registration differs from a telephone set at dialing. CONSTITUTION:An electronic switch 32 switches an inputted voice signal and inputs the signal to a voice recognition section 13. A control section 33 outputs a telephone set number representing an input telephone set. A voice recognition section 13 registers a standard pattern of a registered word with the telephone set number added thereto to an internal memory corresponding to the telephone number at registration. On the other hand, when a telephone number of the standard pattern representing a minimum matching distance with a characteristic pattern of an inputted word differs from a telephone set number of the characteristic pattern at the time of dialing, a reject threshold level is set to a 2nd threshold level higher than a usual 1st threshold level. When the telephone set for registration/dialing differs from each other in this way, the reject threshold level is increased to prevent decrease in the recognition rate of the voice recognition section 13 and transmission of the correct telephone number by a voice dialer is attained.
