METHOD AND CIRCUIT FOR VOICE CONVERSION

PURPOSE:To convert the voice signal of an optional speaker into a voice signal which has features of the specific speaker. CONSTITUTION:A frequency spectrum converting circuit 4 converts an input voice signal 7 into a frequency spectrum signal 8 and a pitch extracting circuit 2 extracts its pitch. A correction value arithmetic circuit 3 finds a correction value from the extracted pitch and the pitch of the voice signal of the specific speaker which is previously extracted and stored in a pitch storage circuit 1 and a frequency shift circuit 5 shifts the frequency of the frequency spectrum signal 8 by the correction value over the entire frequency range. Then, a waveform reconverting circuit 6 reconverts the signal into a waveform signal, i.e., an output voice signal 9.
