PURPOSE:To reduce the circuitry of a subscriber line terminating equipment and to reduce the power consumption by decreasing number of synchronization circuits in the optical subscriber transmission system employing a 1:n optical splitter for 2-way communication. CONSTITUTION:Optical signal transmission data from subscriber equipments 1-n are converted into an electric signal by an optical-electric conversion module 204 via a directional photocoupler 201 and inputted to a synchronization circuit 205. A stop bit 602 is provided to transmission data from each subscriber and it is detected by a stop bit detection circuit 207 to generate a synchronization pattern corresponding to each of the subscriber equipments 1-n at a synchronization pattern generating circuit 206 and set to the synchronization circuit 205 to synchronize the pattern with a frame from each of the subscriber devices 1-n and shared to each of reception circuits 211, 212,...21n for each frame. |
