PURPOSE:To restrain abrupt variation in control value and evade auditory unnaturalness and the generation of a noise by approximating the contents of a storage means according to the movement of the operation element of a data generating means so that they correspond to the position of the operation element. CONSTITUTION:A RAM 37 is provided with a control buffer for storing the control value corresponding to the position of the knob 33 of a slider 32. The contents of this control buffer are used as an input value by the slider 32. In this case, a process for putting the contents of the control buffer and the slider value closer to each other is carried out. The displacement direction of the knob 33 of the slider 32 is checked first. When it is judged that the direction is a difference increasing direction, a value MAX is added to the contents of a slider vent buffer. Consequently, when the spider 32 moves away from the current control value, the control value is approximates to the control value with maximum displacement the slider 32 to the movement of the slider. |
